THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR

If you've ever played Sid Meier's Civilization or Civilization II, you know that there's a distinctive bias against anarchism in his game -- that is, "anarchy" is a situation occurring between the "proper" governments allowed in the game -- a transitional period to be avoided.

You'll also notice that many scenarios for Civ II focus on traditional conflicts (WWI, WWII, Napoleonic Wars, etc.). I thought it might be interesting to make a scenario for the Spanish Civil War, and went about designing it.

Below is where to find Version 2.0 of this scenario, which is only compatible with Civ II: Fantastic Worlds on a PC platform, I think. Anyway, if you would like to try your hand at nailing the Falange, or uniting the Republic under the CNT/FAI, then give it a shot! Be warned: the scenario is quite difficult.

There will be subsequent versions out in the future, which incorporate more substantive changes in the rules and look of the game. E-mail ME with comments about the game. Enjoy!

Make sure, however, that you make your own SCW subdirectory, rather than downloading the above into your main Civ II directory -- otherwise the special SCW rules will overwrite your main set of rules, and you don't want that.
