LEFT FIELD

FYI

This section will feature information on what opponents to anarchism will do to try to sabotage it (or any progressive movement, for that matter). I include it as a reference, so you'll be forewarned. Be sure to visit the Council for National Policy Page -- these folks are hardcore baddies out there!

THE ENVY OF THE WORLD??!?

If you don't think corporations run this country, check out the following savory statistic on vacation days. One thing to say to that: we're suckers. We're also the only industrialized nation without national health insurance. But hey, we're outspending everybody else in military expenditures, right? And you know how good tanks taste....

JUST LEFT

PRACTICAL ANARCHISM

I'm hoping to put materials up for those of you interested in action -- getting involved in the movement, as opposed to just reading about it. I'll put up essays on possible strategies for anarchists, as well as nuts-and-bolts organizing information.

ANARCHIC ACTION ARCHIVE

M1: MAYDAY 2000

A16: THE PROTEST IN THE WASHINGTON

Despite the police crackdown on demonstrators, the protest in DC was a considerable success, thanks especially to the RACB -- the Revolutionary Anti-Capitalist Bloc, the "Black Bloc" of anarchists in the streets.

N30: WTO AND THE BATTLE OF SEATTLE

Unless you've been living under a rock, you're aware that something interesting went down in Seattle during the first week of December, 1999. Basically, thousands of protesters showed up and expressed their opposition to the World Trade Organization's (WTO) agenda, and the Seattle cops cracked a lot of heads. Anyway, there are a lot of perspectives on this, so I'm going to put a few of them up, for your reading pleasure!

BIOTECH BULLETIN

The biotech issue continues to grind on, and while there has been some progress, those biotech baddies are hard at work pushing their frankenfoods on you without your knowledge or consent. Below are some old and new bits on the topic:
